HIDDEN TALENTS
I am overloaded in talent. It's true. I just wish I was really excellent in at least one of them. I owned a candle company. I owned a jewelry company. I'm an author of mystery/romance novels. And, I've held down the same job in the Quality Department for 35 years. I've been married to the same man for 38 years. So, I must be doing something right. Right?
So, why am I not rich and famous with Grammy awards, Writer's awards, Achievement awards or Business awards? Or even Wife awards?
Why do some people excel and others fade away? Why do some people have Opportunity knock them upside the head and say follow me while it only waves at others while passing them by?
Maybe because they have a true PASSION as much as talent. Maybe they grab Opportunity by the collar and say "You're staying with me, buster. And, we're taking this talent to the highest level."
So, what's the moral of my story?
Every person is talented in some or many ways. But, if you don't truly love and you are not passionate about what you do, don't expect anyone else to care, either.
I discovered a long time ago that writing and my family are my true passions. I may not win any awards or become rich, but that's okay. I love writing as much as I love my family and I hope it shows in my work. I'm hoping you care and will love my hard, but fun work as much as I do. And, I hope you find your true talent hidden within your passion. Never give up. I won't.
